Friday is here!!!  What a beautiful fall day!  Sunny, warm and a little bit windy!  The leaves are falling and blowing all around!  We have so many delectable treats this weekend.  Stop by and see what we have ready, and waiting for you!

For starters, we have our Harvest Moon Cream Cake!  Pumpkin Cake filled with delicious custard between the layers and yes, whip cream on top!  Today, German Chocolate Cake graces our counter!  Such a treat, because, who really makes German Chocolate Cake?  Very good and just the perfect amount of sweetness! Of course, we have Pumpkin Rolls and our delicious Pumpkin Pie!  Whatever fall craving you have, we have the fix!

Keystone has the cutest Halloween treats!  We have adorable mini cakes!  These are available in yellow or chocolate cake and iced with our wonderful butter-cream icing!  The detail put into our decorating is simply…amazing!

Having a party? Try our wonderful Halloween Cupcakes!  How fun would these be to serve to someone who is afraid of spiders?  Can they get over their phobia to eat a delicious cupcake?

It’s Wednesday and leaves are falling outside the bakery window.  Beautiful colors of orange and gold.  With the start of fall, comes pumpkin season!  We have so many delicious pumpkin options available this fall.  Try our Harvest Moon Cream Cake!  Pumpkin cake layered with custard and delicious whip cream icing!  This cake is truly a special dessert and a beautiful presentation.

This week, we have Cinderella Pumpkin Muffins, Pumpkin Donuts, Pumpkin Chiffon Cake, Pumpkin Cream Cheese Roll, and of course Pumpkin Pie!  If you like just a little taste of pumpkin, try our Caramel Iced Pumpkin Cookies!  They are so good and you cannot eat just one.  We have sugar cookies shaped like pumpkins, which really are so good with coffee and tea.

We are gearing up for BREADFEST next week!  So we have a few specialty, artisan breads in the store this week.  We have a beautiful Potato Bread today!  Delicious with soup or stew.  Great as a grilled cheese or used in panini’s!  Friday, we will have Egg Bread.  This bread makes the absolutely most delicious French Toast!  Of course, it is good for sandwiches and delightful as toast with jelly!

October  is here!  Fall, Pumpkins, and Tricks or Treats will soon be here!  Keystone Bakery is filled with fall goodies!  Everyday, this week, we have something that will sweetly bring fall into view.

We have Pumpkin Caramel Iced Cookies and two different pumpkin shaped sugar cookies this week.  The Pumpkin Caramel Iced are really delicious.  Very moist and just the right amount of extra sweetness with the icing!  The Pumpkin sugar cookies will delight all of of our young and old fans!  Our sugar cookies are perfect with a cup of hot coffee or tea, and of course a tall glass of cold milk!

One of our stars this week is our Harvest Moon Cream Cake!  Pumpkin cake, custard filling and delectable whip cream icing!

We will have Pumpkin Pies and Pumpkin Cream Stix this week!  And coming back onto the menu with the cooler weather are our wonderful Cream Puffs and Eclairs!  These are so delicious and perfectly made in the cooler temperatures.

Rainy Wednesday!  Does it make you want to stay at home in your pajamas?  Perhaps read a good book or watch trash television all day?  If you can’t summon the gumption to cook today, stop by and see us!

We have several dinner options available!  Keystone is now selling Meat and Spinach Ravioli’s, frozen in two dozen packages!  Just take them home and in seven short minutes, you have piping, hot ravioli’s!  Top with your favorite jar sauce or toss them in some olive oil and garlic and WOW!  You have dinner!

Pierogi’s are still available daily!  We have Potato and Cheese, Potato, Jalapeno and Cheese, Sauerkraut, and Prune!  No sauce needed.  Simply boil and either toss with butter or saute them in butter or olive oil.  Yummo!!!  Dinner is served!

Picky eaters in your house?  How about Pizza? We have Take and Bake Pizza’s in Cheese or Pepperoni.  Pair them with a nice salad and a good bottle of red wine and you have a fancy restaurant dinner!

Not allowed to use the stove?  Well…..we have you covered!  Take home some of our delicious Pepperoni Rolls.  Pop them into the microwave for 15 seconds….and you have the most wonderful, warm bread, filled with pepperoni!  Add in a salad or bowl of soup and dinner is served!

Beautiful, Beautiful Monday!  It is a beautiful fall day in the Mon Valley!  Last night was so cool, it found me looking for a blanket!  Celebrating fall, Keystone Bakery has many “fall” invoking delights this week.

Today is National Apple Dumpling Day! What is more perfect than a crisp, sweet, fresh, fall apple, surrounded by delicate pie crust?  So good and the prefect size for one! Eat one this evening on your patio or porch in the cool, crisp evening air.

We embrace fall with many delectable desserts this week.  We will have Maple Twist Buns and Pumpkin Pie on Tuesday, Pumpkin Chiffon Cake  on Thursday, and our Pumpkin Rolls on Friday and Saturday!  Our Pumpkin Rolls are so moist and delicious!

I love Pumpkin Rolls!  Have you ever tried to make one?  I have, they are not so easy.  Sure, they make it look easy on the television, but not so in my house.  It’s the rolling and unrolling of the pumpkin cake.  Supposedly, you just roll that cake up in a towel and then unroll to add icing and then re roll.  Yea, right….When I go for the re roll….I end up with a crater the size of the Grand Canyon in mine!  It’s a joke in our house, Mom’s Grand Canyon Fall experiment!  I’d much rather buy one! Unfortunately, I cannot pass it off as mine as my children will ask…Where’s the crater?

Where did fall go?  We had such wonderful, cool weather a few weeks ago, and BAM!  Hot, Humid summer is back!  Keystone Bakery is not going to let this deter the start of fall!  Tomorrow, we have Apple Dumplings!  Does anything say fall, like a nice apple dumpling?  So good!  A beautiful apple surrounded by delicate pie crust and a nice sugar glaze?  Heat these up in the oven, top with vanilla ice cream, and you can feel the leaves falling!  Each one is the perfect size for dessert. 

Friday and Saturday, we will have Pumpkin Pie!  One of my favorites!  I love pumpkin! Pumpkin Cookies, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Cake, even Pumpkin Soup! I love the flavor and the spice!  Stop in and get Fall started!  Don’t listen to the weatherman!

Happy labor Weekend!  Are you ready for the last Hurrah of Summer?  It may be a nice weekend, depending upon what Isaac decides to do.  Make it a good one!

Friday Night Lights begin tonight!  All of the teams across the Mon Valley play their first football games tonight!  Let’s root on Monessen as they take on rival California tonight!  Both of these teams have been placed into the Black Hills Section.  This is going to be a very tough year for both of these teams.  My son was telling me that 5 or 6 teams in this conference all made playoffs last year!  Get ready for some hard hitting action tonight!  Good Luck Monessen!  A shout out to “SWAG HIGH 15062“!  You rock!

Back to school time!  Happy or Sad, it is that time of year!  This week, we have buns on sale for all of your Labor Day Party Needs!  Our Buns are not only for cook-outs.  A lunch box containing a sandwich made with a  fresh, soft bun is a welcome treat!  Very worthy of an incredible lunch up-trade!  But, our buns are so good, your children won’t trade their sandwich for junk food! We have wiener buns on special as well.  You will not taste a finer hot dog than one placed on our buns.  Do you call them Hot Dogs or Wieners?  My Great Grandmother used to call them wieners or weenies and I always thought it was hysterical!  She was from Tennessee and pronounced wieners like it had three syllables.  She also called underwear… drawers, but that is another conversation!

We have many delicious treats this week!  Today, we have Cocoa Chiffon Cake.  Such simple goodness!  Visit us this week and you will find, Custard Pie, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Lemon Meringue Pie, Strawberry Rolls and of course Fruit Pies for the weekend…Apple, Blackberry, or Cherry!

It’s Monday and the start to another gorgeous week!  Our weather has taken a beautiful turn…Sunshine, cooler temps and lower humidity…Lower Electricity Bills!

Today, Keystone Bakery has Cocoa Chiffon Cakes.  These are beautiful works of art and so light and fluffy.  It’s like eating a delicious, fluffy, cocoa cloud. If you are counting calories, I have read that when choosing dessert, choose something light, as in weight…The more dense a dessert is, the more calories it will contain.  A good example, choose a raised donut instead of a cake donut.  Every little bit counts and every once and awhile, you just need something sweet.

We have our Old Country Bread and our Whole Wheat Bread.  Each are healthy, delicious choices and we do not use preservatives!  We can slice them for you and they are ready for a delicious sandwich or morning toast.  Either of these breads are wonderful as French Toast or if you have left overs, toast them lightly in the oven and make stuffing or salad croutons.

It is a beautiful Monday in the Mon Valley!  The weather is sooo much cooler!  With this cooler weather can football and back to school be very far behind.  Is your school district on the healthy agenda?  Do they forbid cakes, cookies, etc?  If so check about muffins.  Our local school district does allow muffins.  What a treat for your child’s class to send in Banana Nut Muffins for the first day of school!   Our Banana Nut Muffins are very light and tasty! And maybe, just maybe, you won’t be breaking any rules!

Feel free to break the rules at home!  Today, we have Orange Chiffon Cake and our delectable Fudge Bars!  What goes better together than orange and chocolate?  Take home one of each and have a little of both!
